How did you arrive at Pogofandango? What path brought you here?
Applied for a job, which I didn’t get, but then did. I was supposed to run the German NOTHS shop, which was then stopped 2 weeks later by NOTHS, and now I’m one of the designers, with plans for us to possibly start selling in the German wholesale market.
What’s your day-to-day role at Pogofandango?
I’m one of the designers, I run a laser cutter and I handle the wholesale orders we receive from larger UK based companies.
What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?
I am the mama of the group- making coffee, cake and soup, and making sure everyone is ok! I worry the most!
What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work?
I love that the cards make people so happy and we make that happen. Being part of a small, growing family business.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
I love books! I collect fairytales and mythology. I’m a textile artist, specialising in tapestry and needlework. I act in my “spare” time. My fabulous son!
Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
At home, in front of a roaring fire with a book or a tapestry. Or on a long walk with my family.
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
Born in Düsseldorf, Germany. Moved to Cornwall at 9, back and forth between Germany and UK ever since. I’m back now to stay!
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Liquorice! Chocolate. Books!
Why would someone not want to work with you?
You’d need to ask them?!?! Maybe I’m too unsure about my own capabilities? Probably hard work when I’m in a hyper mood. Too mothering!
